Deloitte offers two educational and networking programmes for senior women and ethnic minority leaders with the ability and ambition to be considered for a Non-Executive Director position at a UK-listed company. The programmes build on the knowledge and experience of each participant and provide networking opportunities with peers, senior board members and city advisers.
The Deloitte Academy Race in the Boardroom programme was introduced in 2017 in collaboration with the Black British Business Awards.
Members of the programmes will gain first-hand knowledge and understanding of:
• Boardroom dynamics
• The challenges facing senior women or ethnic minority leaders in their move to a board position
• The detailed workings of the board and committee structures
• Working with external stakeholders such as members of the investor community
• Developing personal brand and impact
• The Non-Executive Director recruitment process and getting onto a shortlist for director appointments.
